Something tells me this is not going to be the greatest day in world history. Holding my breath - hoping for the best but not expecting awesomeness. I hope I am wrong. A world in which people are getting their information from social media sites designed to divide and anger people is not the world we should be living in. I suspect supporters of the old confederacy, supporters of Hitler at that 1939 rally in Madison Square Garden, and the MAGA people who stormed the capital on 1/6/21 are the same people. My hope for 2023 is for about 30% of our population to come to their senses or to take a course that helps them to think critically, and with some humility and self-awareness. Happy New Year! All I want for Christmas is for the top tax bracket to return to 91% like it was through much of the 1940s (and all of the 50s). Ike and his Republican House and Senate never changed it. We don’t need Here’s the thing. I was so tired of waking up reading tweets and just getting angry and outraged all the time. Perpetual outrage was becoming normalized, and - really - Musk did my mental health a fav I’ve gotten so used to being off Twitter I am literally frozen and don’t know what to post. I’m sure I’ll have something enlightening to contribute any day now. I am rabidly consuming all of this civi Glad to have passed the audition. What did I miss?
