No book, no video game, no toy, nothing. It was an original screenplay by a single writer, Dan Mazeau. With all the sequels and prequels and remakes and reboots these days, THAT is cause for some As a screenwriter and lover of dragons, I really enjoyed DAMSEL. A fun twist on the typical fairy tale, with a "damsel" hero, a dragon that's more than it seems, and a DIE HARD vibe.
