Once again this year, we're hosting the Canadian online vigil for the International Disability Day of Mourning, to remember those disabled people who were killed by their parents/caregivers. Their lives had meanin Jonathan Glazer's "The Zone of Interest" is one of the most horrifying films I've ever seen, and a radical breakthrough in use of sound design. The banality of Nazism also couldn't be more currently relevant. (Thomas Flight is right: It would be an utterly different film with the Antivax groups are gathering lots of money. As a result, more kids will get vaccine-preventable diseases. Can't say it too much: vaccines don't cause autism. So sorry to relate the loss in January of Kat Humble of AutisticUK, who organized one of the best #autism conferences ever, in Manchester 2019, run by and for #autistic people. Kat was an angel. Her last emails to me were about my mother's death. Love to her loved ones. Study: the transition to college is often tough for #autistic students. Since the pandemic, more companies are offering online assessments & prescriptions for childhood ADHD. What are the practical & ethical considerations? Currently no guidelines We will be running the Canadian vigil for the annual International Disability Day of Mourning, on March 1, at 7pm, on Zoom.
