It is with a heavy heart that I share this sad news with you. Despite how much we’ve accomplished together, we will be shutting down Post News within the next few weeks. Love being told that “civics” isn’t taught in the United States which is why nobody knows shit about it. Me: I’m literally a civics teacher, have been for 33 years. Them: Well, you must not be a very good one because nobody knows anything. Me: You just claimed it’s not taught… Them: I’ve been a social studies teacher in the U.S. for 33 years. If someone claims the American Civil War was NOT about slavery but WAS about states rights, then this is how you respond. “States rights to do what?” I fall in love with my wife about 10 times a day. My heart is in a steady state of slow-rolling when I’m with her. She has this way of looking at me and I can tell she sees the small child sitting at the center of my being and loves him unconditionally. Y’all need to leave me alone, I’ve got writing to do. Why isn’t there enough time for me to work on my fantasy series, my book about living with depression, and my book on teaching, all at once? I want to write them all right now. They keep fighting for time in my mind. When you get a text message at 5:00am but it’s a former student telling you they just got engaged to their partner while visiting her family in Turkey.
